Faster and less expensive test procedures thanks to Piezocomposite Actuators
Highly dynamic fatigue and endurance tests present a great challenge for test engineering. However, these testing procedures are indispensable for determining, for example, the longevity and long-term performance of materials. Most conventional test engines here face a large problem. Achieving a high dynamic and a high number of cycles is very difficult for them. This results in long test times, as endurance and fatigue tests need separate test facilities, or the existing facility must be laboriously converted. With Piezocomposite Actuators, this problem is solved.
In contrast to conventional test engines, actuators in the Piezocomposite series from piezosystem jena are very flexibly deployed. Different force and load profiles are easily possible, as are high repetition rates, and they are very highly accurate. When test cycles require a high reproducibility with high repetition rates, piezocomposite actuators significantly shorten the entire test proceedings. And shorter test times lead to lower costs. This results in an enormous medium-term and long-term savings potential.
